Churros (backed) with Dulce de Leche

This year I wanted something special for my birthday instead of another birthday cake. I decided to prepare backed Churros with Dulce de Leche from scratch. And so, here I am thermomixoerimenting this recipe…

Recipe for Doce de leite / Dulce de Leche


1000 gr milk

200 gr whipped cream (at least 30% fat)

130 gr caster sugar

125 gr brown sugar

1/2 tsp baking soda


  1. Place all ingredients into the bowl and cook for 50 minutes, Varoma on speed 5.
  2. Once set, transfer to sterilised jar and close air-tight. Allow to cool, then serve or refrigerate until needed.

P.S.: Ok! Being very honest with you, this is not the same as a deep-fried churros. Yet, it tastes incredibly good! Hope you enjoy as much as I did;)
